Taste Savo pop up brings local providers, Europes award-winning food gifts and North Savonian tasty gifts to the shop window. You are welcome to collect the tastiest ideas, gift cards and Savonian experiences into the Santas bag. There are around 120 gift ideas from North Karelia!

Pop ups are one concrete way to make nearby produced food more known. At the Christmas Market Taste Savo shop is run by Ravintolamestarit. Their CEO and areas official food ambassador Eeva Mertanen is passionate advocate of nearby produced food. Savolaisuus on makuasia -project is managed by Savonia AMK and their pop up store serves at the Christmas Market for the whole event.

Namitupa

Namitupa, or Candy cabin, is a traditional caramel factory in Ilmajoki, Finland. Namitupa has been making handmade, classic candies for centuries, but today they’re known especially for their salty liquorice delicacies. Café Nazca

Nazca is a Kuopio based coffee roastery. Roastery gets its name from its owner’s home country and Peruvian city called Nazca. Products can easily be recognized from the historical Nasca Lines, giant animal and shape geoglyphs in Peru. Company uses C´coffee beans from producers who believe in ecological work ethics.

Juuriska

Juuriska is fully gluten-free and vegan bakery. The breads are baked from sourdough without any additives and only for the best raw materials. Sourdough makes the bread gentle to your stomach, nutritious and so delicious! All the products are gluten-free and vegan (which means they don’t have any dairy, eggs or lactose in them). Product range includes two kinds of brown bread, buckwheat hearts, rice pasties and gingerbread houses.

Hujasen Hunaja

Natural products made by Hujanen are authentically Finnish and self-made! Tasty honey is gathered from Hujanens own bees and wild berries are picked from forests of Savonia. Jam made from arctic raspberries has become a hit product at the Christmas market. After all you can’t find this delicacy from that many places. This company also sells mustard and many kinds of berry juices.

Monireal

Monireal t&T

Family business Monireal has provided fish and meat products to customers for over 25 years. Canned fish are prepared in Nurmes and fish are caught at Pielisjärvi and other North Karelian waters. Canned meat are prepared by Säilyke Herttua Oy in Uurainen. Products are made from 100 % Finnish raw materials. Monireal also sells salmon products including cold smoked and smoked salmon for example.
